We Believe that there is one God, who is Creator of all things and Lord over all creation. We believe that God is triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the Three are coexistent, coeternal, and equal in divine perfection. There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word( Jesus), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (1 John 5:7).
We Believe that God was manifest in flesh as the Man, Jesus of Nazareth, who is the Son of God, the Christ, the Word, and our Savior; that in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. We believe that there is no way to the father except through Jesus; the son, and that Jesus is come in the flesh. Any that teaches otherwise is the spirit of anti-christ.(1John 4:1-3; 1 Timothy 3:16; Romans 1:3; Matthew 16:16; John 4:42; Colossians 2:9; John 5:43; Hebrews 1:4; Philippians 2:9; Acts 4:12)
We Believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was fully human; that He was begotten of the Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified for our sins, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, poured out the Holy Spirit, gave ministerial gifts to the Church, and is coming again to reward all human beings according to their works. (1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 2:16; Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Luke 24:51; Acts 1:9-11; 2:1-4; Ephesians 4:7-11; Revelation 22:12).
We Believe that salvation was purchased for all by the blood of Jesus Christ, but is effective only in those who repent, believe, and obey. We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, took our place, and with His life’s blood purchased the pardon for all who believe in Him. (John 3:16; Titus 2:14; 2 Corinthians 5:14; Luke 13:3; Mark 1:15; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 5:9)
We Believe We believe that salvation is wholly by grace through faith, and is based solely and entirely upon the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that all who repent and believe on his name are promised the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is initially evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-6; Acts 2:1-4; Ephesians 2:8)
We Believe that all believers must follow on to know the Lord, to keep His commandments, to holiness, to love their neighbors as themselves, and to make every effort to live in a manner that reflects a total commitment to the principles and standards of Christianity as set forth in the Bible—and that anything less than this will ultimately result in a departure from the faith, a falling away, and a fearful expectation of judgment. There is no unconditional eternal security. (Hosea 6:3; 1 John 2:3; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Matthew 22:39; Titus 3:12; 1 Timothy 4:1; Hebrews 6:4-6; Hebrews 10:26-27)
We Believe that there will be a bodily resurrection of the just; that all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that all who have repented and believed will live forever with Jesus Christ; and that all who are unbelieving and unfaithful will be destroyed in the lake of fire, which God has prepared for the devil and his angels. We believe that, upon sincere repentance and a whole-hearted acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God through Jesus’ sacrificial death. (Romans 10:6-10; 1 John 1:9; Daniel 12:2; Acts 24:15; Romans 14:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:12-15; Matthew 25:41)
We Believe that the change that takes place in people at conversion is a very real one; that having received righteousness in Christ and having received of His Spirit, people will have new desires, interests, and pursuits in life. It is the will of God that those who have been born again grow in sanctification, become partakers of His holiness, and daily grow stronger in the faith, power, prayer, love, and service (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20).
We Believe that being baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is an essential response to Jesus’ command in the Great Commission(Matthew 28:19), and in the Book of Acts they were baptized in the name of Jesus(Acts 8:16), testifying to His lordship as Christ and King (Romans 6:4).
We Believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit empowers believers to exalt Jesus, to live lives of holiness, and to be witnesses of God’s saving grace; we expect the Spirit’s incoming to be after the same manner as that in which He came upon believers in the days of the Early Church. It is the will of God that believers walk in the Spirit moment by moment, serving the Lord and living lives of patience, love, truth, sincerity, and prayer (Acts 1: 5, 8; 2:4).
We Believe that the Holy Spirit bestows enabling spiritual gifts upon believers, and that these gifts will build up the Body of Christ through edification and evangelism(1 Corinthians 12:1-11); as evidence of a Spirit-filled life, believers should show spiritual “fruit”: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (Galatians 5:22-25).
We Believe that the Holy Spirit bestows enabling ministry gifts of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and teacher for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry(Ephesians 4:11,12). These ministry gifts to the church from Christ, are also known as office calls or five fold ministries. These five office calls did not die with the original apostles, but are an active ministry of the Lord Jesus today! The Household of God is built upon the foundation of the Apostles and the prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone.
We Believe in observing the Lord’s Supper, receiving the broken bread and the fruit of the vine with joy and faith as we partake anew of the life and triumph of Christ’s Cross (1 Corinthians 11:24-26)
We Believe that divine healing is the power of Jesus Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith; He, who does not change, is still willing and able to heal the body, as well as the soul and spirit in answer to faith (Mark 16: 17, 18; James 5:14-16). By grace God has chosen to operate through man to demonstrate his power, love and authority. One significant way God operates by grace through man is laying on of hands. (Mark 16:18; 1Tim 4:14; 2Tim 1:6)
We Believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent; the certainty of His coming and the fact that no man knows the hour of His coming prompt our evangelistic efforts; that the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven, the dead in Christ shall rise, and the redeemed will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air (Matthew 24:36, 42, 44; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17).
We Believe that all shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ: the redeemed to be delivered unto everlasting life, and the unrepentant unto everlasting punishment (Revelation 20:11, 12; 2 Corinthians 5:10).
We Believe that heaven is the glorious habitation of the living God and the home of born-again believers (John 14:2; Revelation 7:15-17). Hell is a place of darkness, deepest sorrow, and unquenchable fire, which was not prepared for man but for the devil and his angels; yet it will become the place of eternal separation from God for all who reject Christ as Savior (Matthew 13: 41, 42; Revelation 20:10, 15).
We Believe that tithing and offerings are ordained of God to sustain His ministry, spread the Gospel, and release personal blessing (Malachi 3:10; 1 c Corinthians 16: 1, 2).
